RIVER BED

I´m sure that there is nobody who has known about the Valencia “City of Arts and Sciences”.
It is a cultural and leisure complex, located on a big open space (350,000 square metres on the bed of the River Turia),where we are offered with different architectural buildings: Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, L´Hemisfèric, L´Umbracle, Príncipe Felipe Science Museum,L´Oceanogràfic and the Ágora.

The entrance to the City of Arts and Sciences is L´Umbracle, a garden walkway shaped by a succession of arches of 18 meters high. On them grow palms, orange trees, rock roses, mastic trees, rosemary and so on, giving a feeling of a "Winter Garden".

The Principe Felipe Science Museum, through interactive exhibitions, lets you find out all about science, technology and how life evolves in a fun and educational way. As its motto says: “Forbidden not to touch”.

L´Hemisfèric, that combines a Planetarium, an Imax cinema and Laserium under one single dome, will make you experience the exciting sensations of the latest sound and image technologies.

L´Oceanogràfic is the largest aquarium in Europe, where are represented marine species of five continents.

Last but not least, if you are an art´s lover, don´t miss the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. Divided into four different halls, it is a venue for scenic arts, such as opera, zarzuela, classical ballet, contemporary dance, symphonic music, musicals and theatre.
